The SPSU Mathematics Department is adopting a new
calculator policy beginning Fall Semester 2009.
This policy will gradually phase in the TI-83/TI-84 calculator to replace the
TI-89 calculator, which is
currently used in core mathematics classes
New Policy: In all sections of Math 1111,
1113, 2240, 2253, and 2254 the course
instructor will decide whether or not students will be required to obtain
a calculator. If a calculator is so required then students will only be
permitted to use a device belonging to the TI-83/TI-84 family of
calculators. Note that this policy is being
phased in as follows:
Fall 2009
